Do use bold colors for the accent as long as they blend well with the primary color of the wall. Nowadays, it is best to think out-of-the-box. You can do whatever you want with your walls as long as they make you happy and satisfied. Paint is not the only material to use in creating accents. Shelving can also be an accent for the wall.
