Spring time, the most awaited season of the year

Spring is one of the four temperate seasons after winter and before summer. This season refers to the idea of rebirth, rejuvenation and renewal of the surroundings. Scientists define the seasons based on their average temperature on a monthly basis. On the average, each season lasts around three months. There is no definite date on when each season will commence or end. The seasons are based primarily on the different environmental conditions associated with them, such as the blossoming of a range of plant species. These are referred to as the biological indicators.

During Spring, there is an increase in the tilt of the axis of the Earth which is relative to the Sun. Therefore the length of the daylight increases in certain hemispheres. The hemisphere begins to warm causing the plants to bloom. Snow begins to melt increasing the amount of water in the runoff, lakes and streams.

Historical Perspective of Spring Cleaning

Researchers have traced the origin of Spring Cleaning to the Persian New Year, which falls on the first day of Spring. Iranians practice the “shaking of the house” before the Persian new year, wherein everything in the house is thoroughly cleansed. Another theory of the origin of this practice is likewise traced back to the practice of the Jews of thorough cleaning of the house in anticipation of the Passover. Catholic Church also has this practice wherein the altar is cleaned during Maundy Thursday right before Good Friday, where Christ was crucified and died.

2. Clutter clearing and organizing – clutter have accumulated and it’s now time to get rid of them. Place in a box the unwanted items and you may want to plan and organize a garage sale. In this case, you are not really throwing away pre loved items. In addition to that, you would likewise earn extra money by just disposing of your old things.

3. Involve the Family in Spring Cleaning – Spring Cleaning may be tedious, so a little help with the family members would be a great help and can make a big difference. To make things easier, assign tasks to your family members and provide them with specific instructions so that they may be able to accomplish tasks easily.

4. Extra Chores during Spring Cleaning – there are some chores that are neglected during the other seasons of the year. Since Spring has finally arrived, then it is the opportunity to accomplish them:
