Here are some DIY rustic decor ideas that you may find useful and attractive to be placed in your space. In most cases, these decorations can be very expensive if you go to any home store. However, it does not have to be the case. Most of these decorations can be done at the comfort of your home. All you need is time and the materials to come up with these rustic decorations:

1. Rustic headboard – a headboard made from pallet boards and old barn wood and looks like an old barn door.

2. Twine wrapped cabinet handles – twine is cheap and all you have to do is wrap the handles of your cabinet with twines to give it the rustic appearance that will blend with the other rustic decors you have.

3. Pallet shelves – old pallets are cheap and you can use it to create a wall installed shelves.

4. Rustic photo frames – you can use a burlap for the matting and old wooden frames. Place a black and white photo so that it will have the elegant and classy appearance.

5. Rope frame – an old common plastic picture frame can be transformed into rustic by totally covering the plastic frame with twine.

6. Twine lamp – the same idea as that of the rope frame wherein you have to cover the base of the lamp totally with twine and the use of hot glue.

7. Rustic coffee table – with the use of slats of wood. Shades may not be the same, pattern them together and create your own coffee table.

8. Wooden clock – you can use old clocks or buy clock kit from stores. Use a piece of wood to be used as the body of the clock. Varnish, stain it and then add the clock to create your wooden clock which will do well in the bathroom, bedroom or the kitchen.

9. Twig candle holders – gather twigs from your garden or anywhere else, and hot glue them to plastic candle holders to create the rustic candle holder.
