The designer’s inspirations
Every artist and designer has their own respective inspirations in creating their designs and artworks - paintings, wallpapers, furniture, interior designs, etc. For Jean-Louis Deniot, traveling is key to his inspiration process. He loves flying and during these times that he is able to perfect his ideas and review concepts. Â
He always wanted to get as far as possible from the white box. His interior designs focus on the atmosphere, character, texture, with a sense of harmony. Listening to ones self and choosing what feels right are important in creating interior designs. He claims that create things with whatever seems to be logical. Aspiring designers should follow their own instincts and learn from those who have been successful in their careers.
As a child, he already had a passion for interiors. He started drawing and painting at a very young age and eventually created miniature architecture structures and interior decorations at the age of ten. He took inspirations from different interior design styles such as Art Deco, Colonial, French Country, contemporary Californian, Indian, Parisian, and experimented with them.
In the future he wanted to have a great line of furniture and lighting pieces, fabric, and books about interior design around the world and his international projects.
